So, I decided to let my 13 year old sister (who takes all of my photos by the way) dress me this time around. She's a little fashionista herself, so I gave her the chance to call THIS ONE her own. Why not? When I got this dress from Forever 21 PLUS, I had no specific intentions for it. I just thought of it as a cute summer barbecue/picnic dress. Clearly, Dahlia had something else in mind for it. I'm actually surprised at her combination. Impressed actually.
There's a huge craze going on with the sneaker wedges I see! I gave them a try and MANNN are they comfy. I definitely understand why everyone loves these. I can't wait to throw them on with a pair of jeans! You'd never guess where I got my trial pair from! Wait for it.....
Yup, that's where I got them. I figured, if I wanna try something this trendy, I might as well penny-pinch. Who knows if this will be something I want to wear next year. So simple advice for you ladies this time around: If you want to try super "trendy" looks that may not be around for a substantial amount of time...find a cheaper way to experiment! The funny thing about "fads" are that they may be out of style by next year. And I don't know about you, but I don't want to spend $250.00 for a pair of sneaker wedges that are going to be a "fashion faux pas" by January. Go for a cheaper pair and work it out! Just my opinion! This is not to say that you should shop for cheap clothes as a full figured woman. That doesn't always work well for us. I truly believe in quality and spending the money to get it. But like I said, for "trendy things", think twice and weight your options!
Let me know what you think so I can tell Dahlia!
